Yoga Therapists helping people with musculoskeletal conditions to manage chronic pain
Our latest blog post is by CNHC Registrant and Yoga Therapist, Julia Woodham. In it she tells us about a project she is involved in which provides free yoga therapy sessions for people with musculoskeletal conditions experiencing chronic pain.
Vacancies for CNHC Professional Committee members
Are you interested in investigating and determining complaints against practitioners registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)?
We are seeking to appoint six lay Members to our Professional Committee.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on 11 October 2023.
Interviews will be held on 9 or 10 November 2023.
Help publicise CNHC’s Accredited Register
We produce two leaflets – one aimed at complementary healthcare practitioners, encouraging them to “Stand Up for Standards” by registering with CNHC, and a public information leaflet aimed at people looking for a therapist, explaining how they can “Choose with Confidence” by searching our online Accredited Register.
If you are exhibiting or speaking at an event and would like to help spread the word about CNHC’s voluntary Accredited Register, or would like to display some public information leaflets in your practice’s reception area – you can order them us free of charge.
Email us at [email protected] stating the leaflet(s) you would like, the quantity required, the date you need them by and where to send them. Please allow at least four weeks for delivery as we mail out around once a month.
Job and volunteering opportunities for CNHC Registrants
Dimbleby Cancer Care are looking for an experienced touch therapist who can offer aromatherapy, massage and ideally reflexology to patients with a cancer diagnosis at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust sites. The closing date is 24 September at 23.59. Find out more here.
