A New Chapter for the UK Reiki Federation

In every living organisation there comes a moment to pause, breathe, and consciously evolve.

Over the past year, the UK Reiki Federation has been doing exactly that.

Following our transition to a Limited Company structure, we took deliberate time to step back and reflect. Rather than rushing to replace historic roles or replicate old models, we asked a deeper question:

What does the right structure look like for the UKRF to truly thrive?

In voluntary organisations, change is natural. People step forward. People step back. Energy moves. And that movement, when embraced consciously, keeps us fresh, agile and alive.

We are incredibly grateful to all those who have contributed to the Board over recent years. As part of this natural evolution, Duncan Cross has stepped down as a Director and will continue supporting the Federation in an honorary Ambassador capacity.

Today, we are pleased to formally confirm the current voluntary Board of Directors:

Anne-Marie Carratu – CEO and Chair
Gavin Ford – Governance & Operations Director
Scott Waugh – Community Development Director
Kerrie Baker – Marketing Director
Rani Malik – Events Director

Together, this Board holds full governance responsibility for the organisation and is committed to leading the UKRF with clarity, professionalism and heart.

Rather than filling roles quickly, we chose to pause. We looked holistically at what a strong, future-focused Board truly needs. We asked what skills are essential, where the gaps are, and how to ensure the Federation is stable, protected and positioned for growth.

As part of this process, we have identified the need to appoint a voluntary Finance Director to strengthen financial oversight and resilience. Expressions of interest will be warmly welcomed from suitably experienced members of our community. Further information will follow shortly.

One of the most exciting developments in this new chapter is the formal establishment of our Ambassador structure.

As a Limited Company, governance now rests solely with the Board of Directors. However, the UKRF has always been powered by an extraordinary team working behind the scenes. The title ‘Ambassador’ reflects quiet confidence and professional authority. It recognises the depth of expertise within our wider team without implying governance responsibility.

Our Ambassadors are trusted specialists who work in partnership with Directors to deliver excellence across education, standards, compliance, lineage, events, membership support and more.

The UK Reiki Federation is evolving. It is steady. It is intentional. It is ready.
