Duncan CrossResearch Coordinator

I am an Associate Professor (Teaching and Learning) and the director of the Karuna Centre for Reiki Training. My first degree (BSc Hons) was in Psychology with International Relations and it was during my degree I found Reiki and undertook my dissertation on Reiki and Pain management. I have a number of teaching qualifications. a PgCert in Cardiovascular Rehab, and PhD in Education/Medical Education. I am a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training, a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a National Teaching Fellow.

Reiki found me in 1998 after I was in a car crash and a friend offered me Reiki for the pain. I had no pain for 2 days and this took me on my Reiki journey. I took Reiki 1 in 1998, Reiki 2 in January 1999 and then undertook a 12 month programme to become a Reiki Master in 2000. I have been teaching Reiki since then and have worked with Reiki in the UK, China, Tibet, and North America
