Anne-Marie CaratuVice Chair / Distance Healing Coordinator

biography

Reiki came in to my life in 2001 as I observed friends and family having such positive effects after receiving treatments. I felt drawn to learn how this therapy worked and began my own Reiki journey in 2002, becoming a Reiki Master Teacher in 2006. I am absolutely passionate about all aspects of teaching and practicing Reiki and as a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, all my courses are approved by the UK Reiki Federation and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I am also a Karuna Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher. I have a busy practice in Surrey and hold courses each month for those wishing to learn this wonderful therapy.

I am part of the initiative Connecting Reiki with Medicine at St George’s Hospital, Tooting (www.reikiwithmedicine.org), set up by Full Circle Fund Therapies. Reiki has been introduced to support patients, their carers and staff in areas of critical need. In addition, well designed research studies are planned to add to the evidence base into patient’s experience of Reiki.

I joined the UK Reiki Federation in 2011 as Area Representative for Surrey and joined the management committee. I am currently Vice Chair, Distance Healing Coordinator and International Coordinator. As a qualified Assessor, I am part of the team approving Reiki courses. I am also Secretary to the Reiki Council.
