This Soft Tissue Dysfunction and Injury Training Course taught at Reiki Federation is comprehensive. Soft tissue dysfunction is common following sprain/strain type injuries, with muscle spasm, postural syndromes, from repetitive use, or after improper tissue healing.

There is evidence that the importance of these tissues, particularly fascia, may be underappreciated and the effects it has on our bodies. During this course, we will look at the pathology and the effects dysfunction has on the body. This is a great course for any massage therapist, as it gives you a number of extra tools to use in your massage therapy.

Upon booking this course you will be able to download a comprehensive manual which will be a handy revision and reference tool.

This course can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the Level 4 Sports Therapy Course.

During the course you will cover the following topics:

• Dysfunction of the spine,
• Dysfunction of the pelvis and hip,
• Dysfunction of the shoulder,
• Dysfunction of the knee,
• Dysfunction of the ankle and foot,
• Dysfunction of the elbow, wrist and hand.

Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). Certificate in Soft Tissue Dysfunction & Injury.

Course accreditation:

This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). This course has been awarded 10 CPD points.

Course Pre-requisites:

This course is available for complete beginners with no previous experience, basic computer skills are required to complete this course.

Manuals & Certification:

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to download for 60 days once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices. Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes & Evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

• Theory knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
• The final assessment is made up of 20 multiple choice questions you must achieve 70% to pass.

Course Duration:

This course takes approximately 10 hours to complete. The course will be available to you for 12 months from the date of course confirmation. Please note that you must log into the Learners Portal within 60 days otherwise the portal will mark your course dormant.

You will be charged 20% of the full course fee, this fee will be placed into a UK Reiki Federation “Bursary Fund”. The training provider will then make contact with you to collect the balance payment and then issue the course to you.
