In Medical Profession, Reiki, Reiki Awareness, Reiki Community, Reiki Therapy, Research

In these chaotic political times, it is heartening news that something quite profoundly innovative is being given time by Government.

The recent report from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare (PGIH) fills me with hope and excitement. There is still a way to go and we don’t know exactly how this will evolve or how it will look when it is rolled out.

What we do know is that the NHS will demand the highest of professional standards and training. Additionally, for Reiki, all the challenges remain and the need will become far greater for much more peer-reviewed, clinical research if we are to take this opportunity to get Reiki truly into the heart of healthcare.

Full Circle Fund Therapies Charity which hosts the Connecting Reiki with Medicine programme at St George’s Hospital, Tooting, is already setting the bar of excellence for the clinical and practical training of Reiki practitioners. The plan is to develop a training programme, designed and led by a medical professional, that can be rolled out to public practitioners of Reiki and, eventually to hospitals everywhere.

Working with St George’s Medical School and its world class research centre, the plans to add meaningfully to the evidence base for Reiki in medical settings are becoming excitingly close but there can be no research until we have the funds in hand so WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR SUPPORT.

Just £2 a month or £25 a year from each and every UK Reiki Federation member will support all in-hospital needs for a 2-year research programme or give us the funds for at least one important piece of research, perhaps more depending on the research protocols and their complexities.

100% of the money you donate will go to the Reiki project at St George’s.
Please don’t wait until tomorrow – please donate today to the UK Reiki Federation’s ‘Connecting Reiki with Medicine Fund’.

I would be interested in becoming a reiki practitioner after having treatment and seeing the benefits for myself. I would be very keen to further understand the training path towards this.
    Best regards

    Hello Tom,

Thank you for contacting the UKRF.

There are a few different pathways available depending on the route you wish to take. If you would like to email me at chair@reikifed.co.uk I will outline the possibilities.

    Best wishes,
