Complementary Healthcare In Mental Health
New national Guidelines for the use of complementary healthcare in mental health services are being developed by The Prince of Wales’s Foundation for Integrated Health, in collaboration with Mind, the Mental Health Foundation and the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
The Guidelines, funded by the Department of Health and Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales, will target managers of mental health services across the country, and will provide:
• Information on best practice
• Information on the recruitment of safe and competent practitioners
• A review of training and qualifications, service and practice development
• An overview of research evidence.
The Guidelines will be published in September 2007.
